My Story - A relentless search for the truth
Hello lovelies! Welcome. I am a transformational guide for individuals and families, self-love advocate and neurobehavioral facilitator. I have extensive education in neurodiversity, nervous system repair, parenting and Intuitive Intelligence, bringing this unique combination of knowledge into all of my services. I am also a special needs parent.
My evolutionary journey began when my daughter was diagnosed with a severe speech delay, mild Intellectual Disability and Developmental Coordination Disorder. At that time we lived in a remote northern community, in Canada, with no medical services. Because of this I became the specialist team: speech/occupational/physio therapist, researcher, dietitian, social skills facilitator, playmate and advocate. I got lost trying to change what was happening with my daughter and her development. I didn’t know then that she would be my greatest teacher and the catalyst for my own immense healing. I grew to understand that her value in this world had nothing to do with her brain differences. They were what made my daughter herself, in her full unique perfection. It was like we could finally breathe and enjoy our life. We stopped trying to catch up with what the world expected. My daughter taught me quiescence; a presence and joy. Freedom.
The love and devotion I had for my child inspired me to become a better person. I learned that we must never underestimate the pain and loneliness that takes place when a child feels misunderstood. With a desire to become my child’s most effective advocate and understand her needs more deeply, I went on to study Conscious Parenting and become a Coach. Through my own work I realized a hard truth – my drive for perfection, fears, people-pleasing tendencies and reactivity weren’t just about her needs. It was actually my own unhealed family and relational history that had become the lens that I saw life through. I needed to reparent myself and meet my own needs so I could show up for her as a regulated, secure, safe adult. I went deeper with my self awareness and healing through learning Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Maté, a psychotherapeutic trauma-informed approach. I attained insights around where certain issues were stemming from, but true self love still felt unattainable. When I met my mentor, Suzi Lula, I began her beautiful Soul Care Coaching and self‑compassion training. I finally sat with my discomfort and learned the language and somatics of authentic, soul-aligned self care. Through deep listening, I felt the call to support other parents and families after witnessing just how much it had transformed my own family. So after attending several sessions with a neurobehavioral facilitator from FASCETS Center for Neurodiversity, I trained to be a facilitator in the FASCETS Neurobehavioral Model. This felt like a calling. I began to understand my daughter’s brain and what life was really like for her. This new model completely changed my parenting and care and it was crucial to be able to support my daughter in her world.
All of the knowledge I had gathered was life changing but it was only the beginning. As I listened to my heart and followed my soul’s calling, my intuition grew louder. I became a certified trainer with the Institute for Intuitive Intelligence, teaching others how to access their own intuition and authenticity, to embrace fear through radical self-trust, and experience our interconnectedness. I continued to seek and to explore energy work, studying with the School for Metaphysical Practice to understand the science behind energy medicine, embodying mental, physical and spiritual healing more deeply. Now I offer my unique services that involve accessing the highest truth and emotional intelligence, hearing underneath behaviors and words, clarifying energetic and physical distortions quickly, re‑harmonizing energy for physical healing, removing outdated subconscious story patterns and shifting back from fear to love.
I believe that understanding our own worth has a direct impact on how we see our children. When we see ourselves shining we will also see our kids in the same light. This journey becomes vital with Neuro-unique families because of our profoundly different life journeys. I’m so grateful for the many teachers and opportunities that have been shared with me. They have allowed for my own soul growth and educated me both conventionally and unconventionally. I know that it is because of my child that I have been gifted with many opportunities to rise as a human being and take on new challenges.
I believe that my own path, although challenging, has unfolded perfectly. The more I have trusted in myself, the greater the reward has been. What may have looked unconventional to the outside world became our family’s greatest medicine. Looking back, I can see how much we were divinely supported. Many of the different parenting strategies that I had intuitively chosen (despite push back from family) are now, a decade later, completely mainstream. Although I did not know it at the time, those decisions are the reason my daughter is now thriving. Every time I listened, the next right step on our path has materialized. Life expanded, the helpers arrived, and our lives became easier and more authentic to who we are. I hope to inspire the same for you and your children; parenting intuitively.
The best part? That brilliant life that you aspire to have – that loving, connected family – it’s wanting you too, no matter the circumstances. I’m living proof.
